Penstemon Scarlet Queen Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This bushy semi evergreen hardy perennial has bell shaped scarlet red flowers with a delicate white throat they bloom on elegant stems from mid summer.

Grow in a sunny mixed border its a great plant for attracting valuable wildlife into the garden.

Deadhead to prolong flowering then prune in spring

Sow between January - April on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out after all risk of frost has passed.
