Delphinium Perenne Multicolor Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This popular cottage garden perennial is a long standing favourite with elegant spikes of colourful flowers in a good mix of bright and pastel shades.

They create a huge impact in a sunny mixed border and make also make an excellent cut flower.

Sow February - May

Germination 21 - 42 days

Loam, sandy or chalk soil that's alkaline or neutral

Height 70cm

Plant in sun.

Flowering time June - August the following year

Planting ideas Beds, borders, cottage, cut flower

Cut down after flowering, will need staking, protect from slugs

Sow between February - May on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into 7.5cm pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out in the border.
