Sowing Instructions

 

For an early start, sow seeds indoors from February to April. Use seed trays or small pots filled with fine compost, pressing the seeds lightly onto the surface before covering with a thin layer of compost. Keep the soil moist and maintain a temperature of 18-21°C until germination occurs in 7-14 days.

 

Once seedlings develop their first true leaves, transplant them into individual pots. Harden off young plants before planting outdoors after the last frost, spacing them 25-30 cm apart in a sunny, sheltered location.

 

For direct sowing, wait until all risk of frost has passed and sow seeds in a well-prepared bed. Lightly cover with soil, water gently, and thin seedlings as needed to ensure strong growth.
