Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds indoors from February to April in trays or pots filled with fine compost. Lightly cover with compost and keep soil moist at a temperature of 18-21°C. Germination typically occurs within 7-14 days.

 

Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots and harden them off before planting outdoors after the last frost. Space plants 25-30 cm apart in a sunny, sheltered location.

 

For direct outdoor sowing, wait until late spring, scatter seeds in well-prepared soil, lightly rake over, and water gently. Thin seedlings as required.
