Moist Soil

An area of moist soil in the garden is not a complete disaster in fact many plants thrive in these conditions, moist well drained soil is very desirable.
If the soil is heavy clay digging in organic material will be beneficial before planting and adding grit will also help improve growing conditions. Many moisture loving plants will not tolerate totally water logged or flooded sites and these conditions are more suited to aquatic plants.

Permanently moist soil is excellent for growing a whole range of lush and ground covering plants as well as shrubs and perennials many plants enjoy moisture.
Don't forget slugs and snails also enjoy moist conditions as well.
