Sweet Pea Nightingale Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This long flowering hardy annual is a Spencer variety and has bold and vibrant orange to scarlet shaded fragrant flowers that stand on strong stems blooming profusely during summer.

Grow them against trellis, fences, or obelisks in a sunny border.

They make an excellent cut flower.

Deadhead to prolong flowering

When the young plants have 3 - 4 sets of leaves pinch out the growing tip to encourage bushy growth.

Sow indoors from January - March on a sunny warm window sill or in a propagator grow on and plant out when the risk of frost has passed.

Sow outdoors April - May where they are to grow sowing 2 seeds 10cm apart.

Sow September - October in a cool greenhouse or cold frame for planting out in spring.
