Sunflower Collection Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This collection of sunflowers contains a great mix of eye catching varieties creating colourful displays in mixed borders during summer.

This is an easy to grow annual that is a magnet for attracting a host of wildlife into the garden.

Sunflowers also make excellent cut flowers.

Colour parade - a mix of coloured heads from yellow through to orange and bronze. 25 seeds.

Italian white - creamy white flowers with a chocolate brown centre. 25 seeds

Pacino gold - dwarf plants with bright golden yellow flower. 20 seeds.

Red Sun - tall plants with in shades of red and bronze. 20 seeds.

Russian giant - a classic looking tall sunflower. 35 seeds.

Teddy bear - dwarf branching plants with fluffy yellow flower heads. 25 seeds.

Sow April - May

Loam, chalk or clay soil that's alkaline or neutral

Germination time 14 - 21 days

Plant in full sun

Flowers July - September

Plant in Beds, borders, wildlife, cottage, architectural, flower arranging

Leave the seed heads to feed the birds

Sow between late April - May into a fine layer of raked warm moist soil 13mm deep where the plants are to grow space the plants to 30 - 45cm apart.

Alternatively sow during March on a sunny window sill in pots. Gradually harden off planting the sunflowers 39-45cm apart.
