Squash Butterscotch ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This delicious winter vegetable has plenty of mini butternut squash with a sweet flavour due to the high sugar content.

A compact vine that is perfect for growing in smaller gardens. They will store very well over winter.

A good resistance to powdery mildew.

Sow from March - April onwards into 9cm pots placing 2 seeds on their side 1.5 cm deep place on a sunny window sill or propagator.

Keeping moist remove the weaker seeding when they emerge and grow on the stronger one.

When the plants get 4/5 leaves gently accustom them to the outside and plant out when the risk of frost has passed leaving 90cm between plants.

Alternatively sow outside in Late May 90cm apart placing 2 seeds in the ground 1.5cm deep remove the weaker seedling when they emerge.
