Pumpkin Uchiki Kuri ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This very reliable pumpkin is more like a squash with intense red orange skins and a smooth butter coloured flesh with a nutty flavour.

Also know as onion squash because of it's shape this productive plant will produce around 4 fruits per plant.

Seed Qty 1.75gram

Sow April - June

Germination 7 - 14 days

Loam or sandy soil thats acidic or neutral

Harvest September - October

Companion plants Corn, Squash, Nasturtium

Harvest by cutting the fruit off the plant

A good source of B1 and E

Use in soups and pies

Sow from April - May into pots 1.5 cm deep placing two seeds on their sides leave on a sunny window sill or in a propagator and keep moist.

Remove the weeker seedling and grow on when the plants get 4/5 leaves gently accustom them to the outside and plant out.

Alternatively sow outside in June 25cm deep.
