Pumpkin Pink Banana Jumbo Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This tasty heirloom variety has banana shaped fruits with pink skins and a delicious yellow orange flesh.

An excellent pumpkin for pies.

Stores well after cropping.

Loam or sandy soil thats acidic or neutral

Harvest by cutting the fruit off the plant

Use in soups, roast and pies

Sow from April onwards into pots 1.5 cm deep placing two seeds on their sides leave on a sunny window sill or in a propagator and keep moist.

Remove the weeker seedling and grow on when the plants get 4/5 leaves gently accustom them to the outsude and plant out leaving 120cm between plants when the chance of frost has passed.

Alternatively sow outside in June 120cm apart placing 2 seeds in the ground 1.5cm deep remove the weaker seedling when they emerge.
