Parsley Curlina Herb RHS Seeds

Petroselinum crispum 'Curlina' is a reliable and decorative biennial herb, prized for its dense, finely curled green leaves and rich, fresh flavour. Germination Time: 14 - 21 days

Soil: Moist, well-drained, fertile soil; neutral to slightly acidic pH

Height: 25 - 30 cm

Harvesting: June - October (first year); March - June (second year)

Companion Plants: Tomatoes, Carrots, Basil

Avoid Planting With: Lettuce (to prevent pest attraction)

 

Harvest regularly to encourage fresh growth and prevent the plant from bolting. Protect from frost for a prolonged harvest into the second year.

 

Sowing Instructions

Indoors:

 

Sow seeds thinly in trays or pots filled with moist, well-drained compost from March to May.

Cover seeds with a thin layer of compost and keep at 18-20°C.

Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle and harden off before planting outdoors after the last frost.

Outdoors:

 

Sow seeds directly into prepared soil from May to July.

Sow in shallow drills 1 cm deep and 15 cm apart.

Thin seedlings to 20 cm apart once they emerge, allowing space for full growth.
