Pansy Trimardeau Mixed Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

These long flowering little plants have a mix of large flowers in an array of colours some with dark blotches at the base of each petal some with clear colours in both bold and pastel shades.

They are perfect colour for mixed bedding or container displays.

Grow as a perennial or biennial.

Seed Qty 0.4gram

Sow February - March or July - August

Loam, clay or sand soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 10 - 20 days

Height 25cm

Plant in sun or partial shade

Flowering time May- September and March - May

Planting ideas Beds, borders, pots, containers, edging, cottage

Deadhead to prolong flowering

Sow between February - March on a sunny window sill or propagator into a seed tray of moist compost, cover the seed 6mm deep with sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into trays 5cm apart to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants when all risk of frosts have passed and plant out 25cm apart.

Alternatively sow in a cold frame July - August to plant out in autumn to flower the following spring.
