Lovage ORGANIC Herb Seed - Irish Plants Direct

This tall aromatic perennial herb needs alot of space to grow it has parsley like flat leaves with serrated edges.

All parts of the plant can be eaten the leaves have a celery like flavour and can be used in salad's and soups.

The stems can be used as celery and roots can be dug up at the end of the season and used as a vegetable, and the seed can be left to turn brown on the plant and collected to store.

Seed Qty 100 seeds

Sow March - May

Germination 14 - 21 days

Loam or sandy soil that's acudic or neutral

Harvest June - October the following year after sowing

Pick the leaves and stems or seed as required

A good source of vitamin C

Use in salads, soups and casseroles

Sow thinly between March - May outside where they are to grow 1.5cm deep into finely raked well drained soil that has already been watered.

Thin the seedling to 60cm apart and keep well watered until the plants are established.

It can reach height of 200cm
