Lovage Herb Seed - Irish Plants Direct

This tall upright perennial herb needs alot of space to grow it has bright green parsley like leaves that have a celery like flavour and can be used in salad's, soups and stews.

The stems can be used as celery and roots can be dug up at the end of the season and used as a vegetable.

It also would make a great impact planted in a sunny border.

Seed Qty 1.5gram

Sow March - May

Germination 7 - 21 days

Loam or sandy soil that's acudic or neutral

Harvest June - October the following year after sowing

Pick the leaves and stems as required

A good source of vitamin C

Use in salads, soups and casseroles

Sow thinly between March - May outside where they are to grow 1.5cm deep into finely raked well drained soil that has already been watered.

Thin the seedling to 60cm apart and keep well watered until the plants are established.

It can reach height of 200cm
