Lettuce Rossa Di Trento Seeds - Irish Plants Direct
This attractive lettuce has attractive red tinged leaves with loose leaves and an open heart with a good taste.
They can be picked as baby leaves for mixed salads.
A good bolt resistant variety.

☀️ Sow March - May
☀️ Germination 7 - 14 days
☀️ Loam or sandy soil that's alkaline or neutral
☀️ Harvest May - October
☀️ Companion Plants Beetroot, beans, carrots and radish
Do not plant with cabbage
☀️ Pick the lettuce when they are of a decent size
☀️ A good source of vitamin A
☀️ Use in Salads and sandwiches
Make small successional sowings in fertile well drained soil in a sheltered sunny spot fortnightly to ensure a good supply of leaves throughout summer.
Lettuce does not grow well in acidic soil.
Keep well watered during dry spells.
Sow outside between late March to May in drills 1.5cm deep and 15cm between rows. When the seedlings appear thin to 30cm apart.
