Japanese Tatsoi ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

 

This attractive vegetable is part of the brassica family and forms compact rosettes with long dark green spoon shaped leaves that have a sweet buttery flavour. 

 

Sow little and often for continuous crops using the leaves for adding to salads and oriental dishes. 

Slow to bolt.

Sow under glass or on a sunny window sill between March - May.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle pot on into trays spacing 5cm apart or into individual pots to grow on. 

Gradually harden off before planting out after the risk of frost has passed. 

 

Sow thinly in a prepared seed bed from May - August  25cm apart and 1.5 cm deep Cover lightly and keep moist. When the seedlings appear thin to 20cm apart to grow on. Sow every 2 - 3 weeks for a continuous crop.
