Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds indoors from January to April in trays or pots filled with moist, well-drained compost. Press the seeds gently into the surface but do not cover them, as they require light to germinate. Keep the compost moist and maintain a temperature of 18-21°C. Germination typically takes 7-21 days.

 

Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots and move them outdoors after the last frost has passed. For outdoor sowing, wait until after all risk of frost has passed, and plant in a sunny location with well-drained soil. Space the plants 30-45 cm apart to allow for good air circulation and ample room for growth.
