Fragrant Primrose ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct
This spring flowering evergreen perennial has clusters of delightfully fragrant yellow flowers that stand on long slender stems above rosettes of green crinkly leaves.
This plant is perfect for adding colour to a mixed sunny or shady border.
Seed Qty 0.5 gram
☀️Sow March - April or May - July
☀️Germination takes 10 - 30 days
☀️All soil types that are alkaline or neutral
☀️Height 30cm
☀️Plant in sun - part shade
☀️Flowering time March - May
☀️Planting Ideas Beds, borders, pots, containers, cottage, woodland, rockery, wildlife,
☀️Also known as Primula or cowslip
☀️Deadhead to prevent self-seeding
Sow indoors between March - May on a sunny window sill or in a propagator at a temperature of 16°- 18° do not cover the seed.
When the plants are large enough to handle transplant into individual pots or trays to grow on.
Sow between May - July in a cool greenhouse or cold frame into trays of moist compost do not cover the seed.
When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into 7.5 cm pots to grow on.
Gradually harden off the plants before planting out into their final flowering position from June onwards to flower the following spring.
