This attractive vegetable has small to medium white bulbs with fine feathery foliage and a mild aniseed flavour. 

A good bolt resistant variety.

Sow into well raked prepared fertile soil from late March to may. The drills should be around 2cm deep and well watered, sow the seed thinly, each drill should be around 40cm apart. Thin out the seedlings to 25cm when they emerge usually between 7-21 days to grow on. Earth up the roots when the bulbs begin to swell to preserve the whiteness and flavour of the bulb keep the plants well watered in warm weather.

 

They do not like Root disturbance.
