Edamame Bean Chibi Green ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This early to mature soya bean grows to a height of 60cm and is a very productive plant with upright pods containing large flavoursome beans with a good flavour.

Rich in protein and vitamins its ideal for vegetarians.

Use fresh or dry for later use.

Seed Qty 50 gram

Sow April - June

Germination 7 - 14 days

Loam - sandy soil that's alkaline or neutral

Harvest August - October

Companion plants Carrots, beetroot, broccoli, cauliflower, peas and cucumber.

Harvest from August and dry the beans completely.

A good source of vitamin A and Fibre

Soya beans need to be boiled for a minimum of 10 minutes to remove toxins.

Sow into pots or trays on a sunny window sill or greenhouse during April. Cover the seed with 25mm of compost and plant out 30 - 50cm apart after all chance of frost has passed into a sunny position with fertile moist soil.

Alternatively sow direct outside into warm soil after the risk of frost has passed leaving 45cm between rows.
