December

Now we are in winter with short dark days and the possibility of snow there are still jobs both outdoors and indoors to be done. We must continue feeding the wild birds as food can be getting quite scarce, encouraging birds to the garden has many benefits for the gardener. December can have a few lovely sunny days and digging a border on a crisp morning can be quite satisfying. Getting the garden ready for next year and the anticipation of what to grow can be quite exciting, maybe changing the structure with new trees and hedges, or maybe a new border, veg patch or area to grow delicious fruit takes planning and hard work. Don't forget if you planted Hyacinths for Christmas flowering, now is the time to bring them into the warmth. It just leaves us to say from Irish Plants Direct have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all customers old and new.
