Climber Collection Rhodochiton Purple Bell Vine Seed - Irish Plants Direct

This tender climbing hardy perennial is often grown as an annual. The fast growing twinning plant has heart shaped leaves with masses of maroon purple pendant shaped flowers during summer.

It could be grown as a house plant for displaying in a conservatory

Ideal for beds, borders, cottage, growing against trellis or a sunny wall

Also known as Chinese purple bells

Trim the plants back in winter and protect from frosts. It they are grown in pots place in a frost free shed or greenhouse.

Sow between January - April on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays to grow on or individual pots.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out after all risk of frost has passed.
