Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds indoors from January to April in seed trays or pots filled with moist seed compost.

Sow seeds 0.5 cm deep and cover lightly with compost. Keep trays in a warm spot at 20-25°C.

 

Transplant seedlings into individual pots once they have developed two true leaves.

Gradually acclimate young plants to outdoor conditions and transplant them into their final growing positions after the last frost. Space plants 30-40 cm apart in a sunny, sheltered location.

 

Growing Tips:

 

Water regularly but avoid overwatering, especially in pots.

Feed with a high-potassium fertiliser once flowering begins to encourage fruit development.

Harvest peppers when they are green for a milder taste or wait until they ripen to red for a sweeter, hotter flavour.
