Chicory Cicoria Variegata Di Lucia Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This attractive chicory has medium sized tightly packed light green and red mottled leaves with a white stem.

It is delicious in mixed salads but can also be cooked.

Lightly steam or stir fry.

☀️ Loam or sandy soil that's alkaline or neutral

☀️ Harvest June onwards

☀️ Companion Plants Beetroot, beans, carrots, peppers and radish

☀️ A good source of vitamin A, C, E and B6

☀️ Use in Salads, stir fry or lightly steam

Radicchio likes a moist well fertilised soil. Rake in some fertaliser a week before sowing.

Sow from late March in drills 1.5cm deep and leave 35cm between rows. When the seedlings appear thin to 15cm apart.
