Chicory Cicoria Rossa Di Verona Tardiva Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This decorative chicory has intense red leaves with white margins.

They form small heads with a sweet flavour delicious in mixed salads but can also be lightly steamed or used in stirfry.

☀️ Harvest October - March

☀️ Companion Plants Beetroot, beans, carrots, peppers and radish

☀️ Use in Salads, stir fry or lightly steam

Radicchio likes a moist well fertilised soil. Rake in some fertaliser a week before sowing.

Sow between May - September in drills 1.5cm deep and leaving 35cm between rows.

When the seedlings appear thin to 15cm apart keep well watered in dry weather.
