The collection of three different varieties of carrots will provide a long harvesting period for this popular root vegetable.

🥕 Flakee - a large late to harvest carrot with orange conical shaped roots with a sweet flavour. Stores well after lifting.

☀️Loam - chalky soil that's alkaline, acidic or neutral

☀️ A handy tip thin the carrots in the evening after watering to try to avoid carrot root fly.

Carrots need a firm fertile soil thats not been manured in the last year. Dig the soil in autumn and apply a general fertiliser two weeks before sowing.

Water the carrots during dry weather to prevent them splitting and try to thin in the evening to avoid carrot root fly.
