This easy to grow compact annual has a mix of vibrant orange and yellow flowers with red backed petals.

 

They attract many different spieces of incects into tbe garden. 

 

Grow in beds, mixed borders and pots on a sunny patio.

Sow February - May or August - September 

Germination time 10 - 15 days

Sow the seed in a sunny border between March - May or August - September in warm moist soil that has been finely raked where they are to flower.

 

When the seedlings emerge thin them out to achieve spacing the plants 25cm apart.

 

Alternatively sow the indoors between February - April on a sunny window sill thin out the plants when they are large enough to handle into trays or individual pots. Gradually harden off the young plants.

Plant into the garden after the risk of frost has passed.
