Sowing Instructions

Indoors:

 

Sow seeds from February to June in seed trays filled with moist, well-drained compost.

Cover seeds with a thin layer of compost and maintain a temperature of 15-20°C.

Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle, and harden off before planting outdoors.

Outdoors:

 

Sow seeds directly into prepared soil from April to July.

Make shallow drills 1 cm deep, spacing seeds 15 cm apart, and cover lightly with soil.

Thin seedlings to 30-40 cm apart once established.

Care Tips

To prevent pests like cabbage white butterfly, consider using netting or companion planting with pest-deterrent plants like marigolds. Apply mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds, and rotate crops to avoid soil-borne diseases.
