Plant Care. Lift the Dahlia tuber before the first hard frost of the winter and store in a frost free area, alternatively cut the stems down and apply a thick layer of mulch. Dead head to prolong flowering.
The Dahlia is an extremely showy and a valuable addition to the summer garden planted in mixed borders and cottage garden schemes, containers and planters they really give long lasting wonderful colour and are very easy to grow. Dahlia flowers can be picked for summer bouquets and look fabulous in a vase.
